Female trainer Britney Taylor has now floated to accuse Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown of raping her.
Taylor sued NFL superstar of rape and two counts of sexual assault in a federal lawsuit filed in Florida.
Taylor is the former trainer for Brown, who is now part of New England after being released by the Oakland Raiders.
Brown, considered the highest paid wide receiver in the National Football League, was named a four-time first-team All-Pro in his 10 years in the NFL season.
According to her former trainer she twice experienced sexual assault in June 2017 and raped her in May 2018.
In response, Brown’s lawyer issued a statement saying that if any of the sexual acts occurred it was consensual because of their existing personal relationship.
“The defendant then contacted Mr. Brown in a joint personal relationship. Any contact with Mr. Brown was in full agreement,” the lawyer added. Brown, whose effort and dedication to his craft have allowed him to rise to the top of his profession, has refused to be the victim of what he believes have become a money grab. “
The player even threatened to file a counter suit.
“I find strength in my faith, my family, and from the accounts of other survivors of sexual assault. It erases the speech of shame I felt last year and puts it on the person responsible for my rape,” Taylor said in a statement. “I will work with the NFL and any other agencies; however, at this time, I respectfully request that the media respect my privacy.”
