The Cleveland Browns have put David Njoku in injured reserve due to his injury, the team announced Friday.
Njuko was only in the first quarter of the game when he got injured on Monday and also suffered a concussion, and he also needs to undergo surgery. The Browns will face quarterback Jared Goff and the entire Los Angeles Rams.
The two starting cornerbacks, Denzel Ward, and Greedy Williams are still unsure about whether to play after suffering a hamstring injury this week. Morgan Burnett (quad) and was unable to practice on Friday so was put on the provisional list. The Browns have permanently out Damarious Randall from the lineup because of a concussion for their match this week.
The Browns responded to the problems immediately, prompting cornerback Robert Jackson to sign on their active roster and acquiring Juston Burris after being released by the Raiders.
“The guys that are there [against the Rams], I expect us to show up and play well, compete every snap,” Browns coach Freddie Kitchens said. “The expectations haven’t changed. I just need 11 on each side of the ball to show up and play.”
Christian Kirksey is also not in the lineup due to (chest) and will know when to undergo surgery. Other starters on the list for questionable in Sunday’s game are right tackle Chris Hubbard (foot) and wide receiver Rashard Higgins (knee).
