NBA updates-Toronto Raptors have moves on to lose star Kawhi Leonard

The Toronto Raptors will start the season without Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, but they remain confident in the group with Kyle Lowry, Marc Gasol, and Pascal Siakam.

According to Ujiri team president of Raptors basketball operations, “Kawhi decided to go to the Clippers, so our team moves on. I can’t sit here and trade DeMar [DeRozan], and Kawhi leaves us and acts upset. That’s the nature of the business. We move on. There are many bright spots with our team.”

“I think Paskal Siakam is the next one,” Ujiri said. He added, “I think he will be one of the best players in the league.”

In Siakam’s contract, “He is the one that we will keep here for a long time. Ujiri said

Meanwhile, shooting guard Norman Powell is ready for his fifth season with the Raptors.
