The New Orleans Pelicans will face the latest NBA champion Toronto Raptors held at Scotiabank Arena on 0ctober 22, 2019.
The Pelicans are the winner to get the number one overall draft pick Zion Williamson in this 2019 NBA draft. Williamson is one of the overhype rookies this season because of his same as Lebron athleticism and strength that we can see in his first game against the latest champion Toronto Raptors. While Davis was left, rookie Williamson replaced him. The Lakers give them in return all their potential young star, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart. Together with veteran shooter J.J. Redick who will be a Pelican’s sniper at three, while forward Derrick Favors from the Utah Jazz added them to help under the ring. The Pelicans are one of the teams you can watch in the opening season because of their young guns and the start of their rookie Williamson.
The Toronto Raptors have a great start to their season, as they have been named champions of the 2018-2019 NBA finals. Despite losing their hero, the finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, that help their team to get the trophy before leaving their squad, they beat the legendary Golden State Warriors in the finals. No matter what the loss of Kawhi, there still has a piece of good news for them after Marc Gasol remains. The champion of the FIBA World cup recently. Meanwhile, Paskal Siakam forward showed potential in the finals that could be a way for him to strengthen their team, he was named Most Improved Player, and one of the players carry the load to win the trophy. Fred Van Vleet’s game was also impressive to help veteran guard Kyle Lowry. Anunoby’s return from injury and Norman Powell’s improvement is expected to win over the Pelicans.
My prediction here is that the Pelicans can win, but this is not the case since they need to spend enough time on their team chemistry. Because of the less experienced and younger than the Toronto Raptors, the Pelicans team is the face of the rebuilding team right now. Meanwhile, Toronto lost only a few players but added a few more veterans and improved players that they could use as weapons against the Pelicans. So to me, the Toronto Raptors are going to win this match.
