Selected as the 19th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, Jeffery Simmons and suffered an ACL have been through pre-draft training, and the Titans know there’s a chance his entire rookie season will be spent on the sideline.
The defensive lineman out of Mississippi State was activated in Titan’s week seven against the L.A. Chargers this week. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. The team confirmed the news.
Having been training all week, Simmons is now set to make his NFL debut, though Rapoport added the Titans would be ready for his return.
The ACL rupture occurred in February, so Simmons, 22, is amid a spectacular comeback. On Wednesday, Simmons practiced for the first time and was participant through Friday.
