Toronto Raptors put an end to the Lakers’ winning streak

Paskal Siakam led the Raptors with 24 points and 11 rebounds, Fred VanVleet had 23 points and ten assists to end the Los Angeles Lakers’ seven-game winning streak of 113-104 last night.

Chris Boucher scored a career-high 15 points for the Raptors, defending champion Lakers losing regular starter Kyle Lowry due to a broken left thumb injury and top reserve Serge Ibaka with a sprained right ankle, but the Raptors won with ten consecutive wins over the Lakers.

Davis and James both played solid games, but without the help of their team’s supporting cast, Kuzma scored 13 points on his 15 points in the fourth quarter. Danny Green scored eight of his 0-for-5 shooting in 27 minutes for the Lakers. Toronto started the fourth with a 17-6 run led by Boucher. The Raptors will face Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers today, with the Lakers visiting the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.
