16-year NBA veteran Carmelo Anthony will play again for the Portland Trail Blazers, starting in the forward position according to his head coach Terry Stotts against the Pelicans Tuesday night.
35-year-old Anthony agreed to a settlement in Portland last week and officially signed on Tuesday after passing the physical test.
6-foot-8 Anthony began his career with the Denver Nuggets and spent seven seasons before trading with the New York Knicks in 2011, Anthony stayed for six seasons before joining another Oklahoma City team. The Thunder and Rockets said he had a season before playing in Chicago this January, but the Bulls released him before playing for the team.
Melo was averaging 24 points in his 1,064 career regular-season games.
